JANE SCHLOSSER

Natarajasana

Jane Schlosser has practiced with Yoga Vie since 2016 and she has attended more classes than any other student at our studio. She is a devoted and diligent yoga practitioner and an active community volunteer. Jane is always the first to offer support of someone in need- we are so lucky to have her as part of our tribe. She is a proud wife, daughter, care giver, and amazing soul. She is currently enrolled in our teacher training program and you may soon be lead by her in a yoga class!

We recently sat down with Jane to chat about her yoga journey, and the role yoga plays in her life.

Here is what she had to say:

How would you describe yourself as a yogi?

A dedicated yogi. Every day offers something new and exciting to learn. Maybe a new pose or something to meditate on. It has been an amazing journey so far.

How did you find yoga?

I was looking for a place to "do yoga", so I dropped by Yoga Vie when they had the open house a year ago. I took some classes and started a regular practice. Little did I know that I would be on a path that would open up a whole new world for me. My inspiration comes from the wonderful teachers and students that I am so grateful for.

Describe an interesting fact about yourself.

I was a "mouse" in the Denver Nutcracker Ballet.

If you were a yoga pose, which one would you be?

Natarajasana... Dancers Pose I love to dance!

Vrksasana

What is your FAVORITE yoga pose? Why?

I have a few I'm practicing, but I really appreciate Vrkasana... Tree Pose. It's very grounding.

How does your practice fit into your everyday life?

I take my practice with me, on and off the mat. Yoga keeps me humble and very grateful.

What's your favorite aspect of Yoga Vie?

The teachers, the students, the warm feeling when I walk into the studio. Everyone is so kind, welcoming and always willing to help.

What advice would you offer to a yoga novice?

Enjoy your practice. Be open to learning new poses and ideas. Have fun and laugh.
