The 5 Kleshas - Part 3

Sutra 2.7 introduces Raja, or Attachment. This Sutra can be translated as 'Attachment is that which follows identification with pleasurable experiences.' There are a couple words we recognize...pleasure and experience. Yes, please!

The 5 Kleshas - Part I

Translated to English, "Ignorance, egoism, attachment, hatred, and clinging to bodily life are the five obstacles." The Yoga Sutras (2.4 - 2.9), provide instructions to destroy each Klesha or obstacle.

Selah is definitely our smallest and cutest yogini! 7 year old Selah, is the daughter of Leah and Mike Walshaw, and she brings the sweetest energy to Yoga Vie and our community. She knows the ropes and likes to sign herself in before her visit! She has her own mat and does a bang up job in classes where discipline and quiet are requested. We love having her around!

Joel has practiced with Yoga Vie since the very beginning (2013), he and his wife were two of our very first students. We know him as a dedicated yoga student and community activist. He created and runs the Vandenberg Farmer's Market Association, which hosts a community Farmer's Market each Sunday in Vandenberg Village.
